About this policy

This policy describes how AirWear by CrewApp handles information when you use the Wear OS app and this website. It also describes the services used to provide air-quality readings, diagnostics and purchases.

Questions or requests can be sent to feedback@crewapp.xyz.

Location and air-quality readings

AirWear uses location, with your permission, to find air-quality readings near you. Saved places and manual location selections are also used to retrieve readings. Depending on the provider serving a request, coordinates or a geographic area are sent to AQICN, IQAir, OpenWeather or Google services.

These services receive the information needed to answer the request, including network information such as your IP address. Sending a location to retrieve a reading is distinct from maintaining a personal location-history service.

AirWear keeps preferences, selected and saved locations, and cached readings on your device. It also uses Firebase to read and cache air-quality station/grid data and rankings. Location access can be changed or revoked in your device settings; doing so may limit current-location features.

Firebase and diagnostics

The Wear OS app uses Google Firebase services:

  • Anonymous Authentication: creates an anonymous identifier to authenticate access to Firebase resources, without asking for your name, email or password.
  • Realtime Database and Remote Config: provide air-quality caches, rankings and app configuration.
  • Analytics: records app interactions and events, including screen views, provider requests and purchase outcomes. Firebase may also process installation/device identifiers and technical information.
  • Crashlytics: receives crash reports, recorded errors and diagnostic information used to investigate reliability problems.

These services process information under their own policies. See Firebase privacy and security and Google’s Privacy Policy. A policy for a later Apple release will be reviewed against the services actually enabled in that release.

Purchases and support

Google Play handles Wear OS subscription payments. AirWear receives purchase and subscription information needed to determine Pro access; it does not receive your payment-card details. Google processes payments and related account information under its policies.

If you contact support, your email address and the information you provide are used to respond and investigate your request. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for support.

This website

This website does not include advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies or a sign-up form. Images, fonts and scripts are served with the site. Following a store or other external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

The hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives technical connection information needed to serve and secure the website. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Storage, retention and your choices

Local settings, saved places and cached app data remain on your device until they are changed, cleared or removed. Use device app settings to clear app data or uninstall AirWear. Clearing local data does not by itself erase information already processed by a provider.

Provider and Firebase information is retained according to the applicable service’s configuration and retention practices. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and related obligations. AirWear does not offer a personal location-history dashboard.

To ask about access, correction or deletion of information processed in connection with AirWear, contact feedback@crewapp.xyz. Include enough context to identify your request, but do not send passwords or payment-card details. Anonymous diagnostic records may not be identifiable from an email address alone.

Network requests use HTTPS. No security measure guarantees absolute protection.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as the app or its services change. The revision date appears at the top of this page.
